Our story

Why we built a different kind of cafe.

ABC Restaurant can plant its flag as Singapore's go-to modern halal all-day cafe — clean, comfortable, Instagrammable, with specialty coffee and lighter fusion bites — a position no competitor in this corridor currently owns with a polished brand presence or a single line of editorial copy.

ABC Restaurant started from a simple frustration: every halal cafe in our corridor was either a late-night nasi kandar counter with no seats to speak of, or a Google Maps pin with zero story behind it. We wanted a place where a Muslim family, a freelancer with a laptop, and a couple on a weekend outing could all walk in and feel at home — without checking the halal status twice or wondering whether the kitchen was clean.

We opened in Singapore with one clear brief: answer the five questions every diner has before they even sit down. Is it halal? Is it open now? Is it clean and comfortable? What will it cost me? Is there something on the menu I actually want? Every decision we made — the open kitchen, the all-day hours, the lighter fusion menu alongside local favourites, the power sockets at the tables — came from that brief.

In 2026, more Singapore cafes are adding halal options as an afterthought. We built halal-first from day one, and we built it with the kind of editorial care that the younger Singaporean diner deserves. Come in, order a specialty flat white and a plate of something good, and stay two hours longer than you planned.

We built the cafe we kept wishing existed — halal-certified, genuinely comfortable, and honest about what it costs. Everything else followed from that.

Transparent

Halal certification, hours, and pricing are stated clearly — no small print, no assumptions.

Comfortable

Bright, well-ventilated spaces with wifi and sockets, because a good cafe earns a long stay.

Honest

We do not inflate the menu or the atmosphere — what you see on the site is exactly what you walk into.

Local

Rooted in Singapore's halal dining culture, with a menu that respects local favourites while making room for lighter, modern bites.

Consistent

All-day hours, no split-shift closures, and the same quality on a Tuesday morning as a Saturday evening.
